Oracle Procedural Language Extensions To Sql Consultant

The Work/Responsibilities:Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems Attend and provide feedback on project estimation, requirement and planningAttend on the deployment planning reviewEnsure that the Oracle production, test and development databases run reliably and perform efficiently at all times. This includes but not be limited to performing routine tasks such as installations, patching and upgrades, capacity checks, backup and recovery, exports/imports, database cloning, performance monitoring/tuning and troubleshooting and will require out of hours working from time to timeProactively handle incident resolution demonstrating the ability to handle multiple concurrent service issues using escalation as and when required whilst ensuring that colleagues and customers are kept fully informed of progressApply necessary systems diagnostics to formulate resolution plans understanding when and how to escalate issues as appropriate to business needsEnsure that all fixes, enhancements and service improvements are fully tracked and implemented within appropriate timescales. Ensures no recurrence of issues moving forward. Job Qualifications:College graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT-related coursesMinimum of 2 years relevant experience in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL); good to have Java Enterprise Edition, Problem Management as wellExperience in working directly with clients and onshore counterpartsGood interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communicationAble to work under pressure without any supervision, and a good team player
