The Operations Head shall oversee the process improvement and efficiency initiatives of the Bank. Included here is ensuring that process manuals are updated by the respective groups (loans, cash, branches, accounting, IT), analyzing the current operations processes and recommending alternatives which enhance efficiency and control.
The Operations Head shall lead the Operations Group (OG) which will focus on managing and providing the support needed by marketing units to sell Banking products and services – deposits, loans, ATM and electronic banking services.
A. For branches, the Operations Group (OG) will be responsible for managing Cashiering and Teller groups. Included here are vault custodianship, safekeeping of customer and transaction records, and cash management.
B. Support for Loans Operations - the Operations Group will handle processing of loan applications generated by the marketing groups. The loan underwriting process will be handled by the OG including credit investigation, collateral appraisal and loan documentation and release. The documents related to the loans shall also be the responsibility of the OG including safekeeping of real estate titles, Certificate of Registration / Official Receipts of auto chattel, and registration / encumbrance of mortgages.
C. The OG shall handle loan collections and monitoring. This includes ensuring updated insurance and registration payments for chattel assets, follow ups of overdue, past due and NPLs and thereafter litigation and foreclosure of delinquent accounts and collection of assigned accounts receivables of defaulted borrowers.
D. Storage and disposal of foreclosed assets. Securing and maintaining foreclosed real estate properties and equipment and other types of collateral like live stock, other types of goods and coordinating the sale thereof.
E. The OG shall be responsible for the management, maintenance and security of the offices of the Bank. The OG shall assist in the negotiation of lease contracts, oversee lease hold improvements, construction, lease contracts renewals and thereafter, maintenance of leased premises and Bank equipment. Security systems and providers shall be under the OG as well.
F. The OG shall oversee the ATM operations of the Bank. This includes maintenance of the ATM machines, cash loading, card issuing / printing, monitoring connectivity, settlement and outsourcing switch coordination with Bancnet.
G. Accounting Group. The OG shall work with the accounting group to evaluate and organize a central accounting group that will service and support the branch network. Areas of focus will be controls, process efficiency, central processing opportunities.
