### Job Description:
Great Deals E-commerce Corporation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Online Accounts Payable Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our accounts payable functions, ensuring timely payment processing, and fostering meaningful vendor relationships. This role encompasses various tasks associated with managing the financial aspects of our e-commerce operations.
### Key Responsibilities:
- **Invoice Processing**: Accurately review, match, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring all necessary documentation is present and in accordance with company standards.
- **Payment Management**: Schedule and execute payments for approved invoices promptly while maintaining effective cash flow management; utilize online banking systems and ensure compliance with company policies.
- **Record Maintenance**: Maintain and update accounts payable records, including invoices, payment receipts, and vendor information in the accounting system; ensure all records are organized and easily accessible.
- **Vendor Relationships**: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with vendors through timely communication regarding payment status and resolving any discrepancies or payment issues.
- **Reconciliation**: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable to the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards; assist in preparing reports for management regarding accounts payable status.
- **Audit Support**: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounts payable transactions and processes.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify areas for improvement within the accounts payable process, contributing creative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payment processing.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with financial policies, state regulations, and accounting principles while processing payments and managing vendor records.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with internal departments (e.g., procurement, finance) to align on financial processes and resolve any account-related disputes or inquiries.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay informed about industry trends, e-commerce platform updates, and best practices in accounts payable to contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes.
### Requirements:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- **Experience**: A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel; familiarity with e-commerce platforms is a plus.
