JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Facilities Intern, you will support various tasks related to the daily operations and administration of an office environment. This position offers hands-on experience in facilities and workplace management and a chance to contribute to a productive and organized workplace. You will assist in managing office supplies, equipment, and ensure that necessary materials are stocked and organized. Additionally, you will help in implementing and monitoring office protocols to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
You will be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders seeking support related to facilities and workplace management. You will possess the confidence and ability to independently identify and resolve office-related issues promptly.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This job operates in an office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment. The employee will assist with preventive maintenance tasks, including inspection of building systems, equipment, and grounds. Orders, receives, and organizes materials and supplies. Ability to read, analyze, write and interpret raw data to formulize actionable insights. DAILY TASKS Assist with routine administrative tasks to support office efficiency. Learn and apply office protocols and guidelines to maintain an organized work environment. Document office activities and update records as necessary. Monitor and replenish inventory of office supplies and equipment. Conduct office audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards. Participate in special projects aimed at improving office operations and efficiency. Support the development and implementation of office protocols. Perform clerical duties including answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, and providing information about departmental services and operations. Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance management of office spaces. Assist in space planning and office layout changes. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Office Management, Industrial Engineering, or other related courses. Currently enrolled in a college internship program with a minimum of 200 hours. Basic understanding of facilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a diverse team. Willing to report on-site from Mondays to Fridays.
