As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be configuring and managing networking and system Infrastructure in a fast-paced enterprise-level environment. Support day-to-day operations and maintenance. Perform specific tasks including provisioning, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. Perform trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents. You will also need a solid understanding of enterprise system networks (hardware, software, networking, protocols), advanced knowledge of LAN and VMware vSphere, and practices and proficiency in systems analysis and project planning. You should be able to handle first point escalation for all technical and process issues. Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and support large-scale networking projects through operations, performance, diagnostics, testing, training and support, and system disposal.Perform network management functions such as network monitoring, performance measurement and reporting.Ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of network.Perform network hardening, security scanning, patching and securing of network devices.Administration and troubleshooting of Windows Servers (Preferably Windows 2012, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019).Installation and implementation of VMware ESX server, VMware virtual Center, setup of V-Motion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products.Perform system backup and restoration, system service and log management, and system auditing.Manage daily operations as per incident management process.Acts as an escalation point for technical troubleshooting and project implementation.Diagnosing and resolving unique problems associated with infrastructure and network systems, determining the root cause, and classifying their level, priority, and nature.Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements – continuous modification and improvement.Participate in the planning, approval and implementation of approved Change Management requests.Interface with internal customers as well as other technical teams to support corporate projects and business requirements as needed.Work with regional team for designing and implementing networking, server and storage solutions.Be responsible for preparing the SOPs and update them regularly; prepare knowledge-based articles for sharing across the team.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to nonexempt personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS: Strong background in designing and implementing Local Area Networks (LAN).Hands-on experience on configuration and troubleshooting Cisco ASA and Aruba appliances.Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP Networking.Strong knowledge in Cisco Routing and Switching, and network architecture planning.Knowledge in VPN technologies, IPSEC, SSL, OSPF, EIGRP, IP Multicasting.Knowledge in Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) IEEE standards: 802.11 a/b/g/n.Knowledge in wired data transport mediums including CAT6 and fiber optics.An understanding of Private Branch Exchange telephony including Avaya/Cisco.Installation and troubleshooting skills for Wintel systems, knowledge in hardening and securing of Wintel systems.Administration and knowledge of Windows server with active directory, DNS, DHCP and High Availability.Knowledge in Dell / EMC / HP servers, SAN storage administration and data backup.Experience in VMware Software, Virtual Workstations, ESXi, vCenter and vSAN support, administration and hardening is added advantage.Advanced troubleshooting skills and experience and be able to produce detailed technical documentation.Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate technical ideas, concepts, and thoughts across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal), be a team player with a positive, pro-active, and self-motivating attitude and possess the ability to operate across multiple discipline groups.Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions.Certifications in CCNA, CCNP, MCSE is an advantage.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Degree from college or university and at least five years related experience; or Diploma and at least eight years of related experience.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
