Deliver on the sales objectives for assigned business unit through strong leadership and effective management of the sales team, diligent business process execution, and close collaboration with stakeholders (both internal and external).
Ensure meeting overall sales objectives.
Monitor the districts' activities and keep the team focused on achieving the overall business objectives.
Manage a full complement of the sales force in the assigned area to carry out and deliver on the KPIs, sales calls, and CME activities.
Develop sales forecasts for all products both near-term and long-term, and identify/plan the key initiatives needed to achieve/exceed the sales goals.
Responsibilities:In tandem with the creation of the sales plan, support the planning of the marketing calendar and budgetary spends to drive market share.Ensure the implementation of sales and marketing strategies focused on the assigned therapeutic area.Execute regular business analysis to evaluate the performance of the business and proactively plan the strategic direction of the business unit for future course of action as necessary.Monitor market trends and competition updates.Work closely with Marketing, especially on the launch of new products.Handle and manage the supply chain through close and frequent coordination with external distributors, ensuring availability of products at the pharmacy level.Work closely with Commercial Excellence to ensure that the field force maximizes productivity.Coach the sales team on Professional Selling Skills through one-on-one fieldwork and establish a clear career plan for each team member.Develop and sustain good relationships with business partners, including top hospitals and subspecialists in the country.Operate in a legal and ethical manner ensuring that transactions are all in accordance with Abbott Laboratories compliance requirements.Observe 100% compliance with OEC and other company-defined guidelines.Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices to prevent or minimize accidental exposures to self, colleagues, and/or the environment.Accountability:Identify and act upon marketing trends that can impact the business.Visionary, strategic planning, and motivating.Initiative to implement change.Able to take calculated risks.Challenge current thinking; generate new ideas and expect others to do the same.Create a sustainable infrastructure and environment that enables growth.Exhibit strong leadership qualities.Display continuous energy, intensity, and persistence to drive the organization forward.Be responsible and accountable.Qualifications:Solid experience in Sales in the Pharmaceutical industry.Strong leadership and people management skills.College education - preferably in Marketing or Business Management.
