TE Connectivity's Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.
ResponsibilitiesMentor, develop and motivate subordinates. Create a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth and development of excellent personnel at all levels. Create training and capability building process and training modules to promote project management best practices.Resolve people/functional issues in order to achieve targeted department performance and retain key talent.Periodically review the key project progression and provide feedback to PJE to keep project execution in the right direction. Maintain close communication with cross-functional leaders to disclose high-level bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities, and engage deeply in action plan creation and monitor progression to results.Provide leadership for key projects (e.g. kick-off).Project execution and department productivity improvement. Proactively identify bottlenecks and constraints in project management, and optimize them with stakeholders.Coordinate with Senior Management to create localized processes and systems to ensure effective project management and implementation across the organization. Ensure site processes and systems comply with global guidelines and procedures.Prepare monthly department performance reports and analysis, including KPIs and key initiatives, and provide input to and implement operational plans.Manage budget and headcount planning and control.Monitor adherence to policies, procedures, and relevant rules and regulations.QualificationsBachelor's degree or above.10 years of project management experience or above, with 5 years of people management experience or above.Capability and experience to identify, define, and develop solutions to complex issues and problems that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes.Knowledge of cable assembly manufacturing processes.Strong organizational, coordination, and cross-team communication skills.Willingness to travel frequently.Fluency in English and the local language.Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects.
