MFG & PROCESS DVL Engineer II-Stamping (Automation), FPIP, Batangas
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in the semiconductor industry. Our respected client is seeking a seasoned engineer with 5-10 years of solid experience in High-Speed Stamping and Tool and Die Design for the position of MFG & PROCESS DVL Engineer II-Stamping. The job is based in FPIP, Batangas, Philippines.
Job Summary: The MFG & PROCESS DVL Engineer II-Stamping is based in the DND PH plant, which is newly set up and will have initial production from November this year. This role is part of the global MPDE (Manufacturing Process Development Engineering) organization, working closely with the product development team and plant team on new product launches.
Short term (1-2 years): Working with the MPDE/ME team in China to launch projects developed by the China team, as well as some old products migrating from China plants to the PH plant.
Long term (>=2 years): Working with the product design team located in both China and the US to launch products from the PH directly together with the local MPDE team (Project management, manufacturing process development, tooling build, and qualification).
This MFG & PROCESS DVL Engineer II-Stamping is responsible for new stamping process development and ensuring smooth product launch in the plant for mass production, meeting all project-related KPIs (Schedule, Cost, Investment, Quality, Delivery).
Key Job Responsibilities: Overall stamping process development, coordinating with interaction processes (Molding, Plating, Assembly) to ensure the best process and cost for F/Gs.Concept design & proofing for Stamping process and tooling, Process development DOE.Technical leader and trouble shooter from LVM to HVM in process development, tooling design & qualification, issue finding, and problem solving.Platforming manufacturing process development.Challenge product design for manufacturability and cost feasibility.Launch product at rate through FACA/QCPA tools (yield, CPK, OEE).Launch product on time with cross-functional team.Process documentation (DFM, FMEAs, WI, FACA/QCPC). Job Requirements: Bachelor or above degree in mechanical engineering or related background.5+ years die design, process, and troubleshooting knowledge/experience.Strong knowledge of tool fabrication, tool-steel application/selection, heat treating, and plating/coating.Strong knowledge of stamping processes.Strong understanding of metal material, press machine, and auxiliary equipment.Understanding of tolerance calculations and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.Data-oriented issue finding and problem-solving skills.Rich shop floor hands-on experience.Cost sensitivity and ability to drive cost through manufacturing process development & design optimization.Fluent in using basic process development related tools like DFM, PFMEA, DOE, FAA, CTAR, CAD, Pro E.Knowledge of quality control and quality issue analysis and improvement.Good teamwork and communication skills.Fluent in written and spoken English.Overseas working experience is a plus.
