Meeting And Events Manager

A Manager for Meetings and Events Department is responsible for owning and controlling all operational aspects of the business in accordance with the strategic objectives of the Company; not limited to managing corporate events and client relations; developing, implementing, and reviewing departmental plans and programs; directing business unit and staff development and enhancement.
What you'll be doing Develop and submit for approval annual plans and programs of the business unit to align with key performance areas and achieve business and profit objectives. Direct their implementation and monitor progress.Work with customers to develop, coordinate, and implement their meetings, incentives, conventions, and events.Assist in development and presentation of sales pitches and proposals, as required.Conduct internal pre-program briefings and post-program debriefings.Source destination, air, hotel, and venue options that meet the goals and objectives of the client for their event.Negotiate hotel, air, and venue contracts.Utilize and leverage when applicable, BCD Meetings and Events preferred suppliers and vendors, hotel agreements to negotiate contracts.Track and report hotel room nights and spend.Work to increase program profitability over the original priced program received at pre-sale turnover.Facilitate the creative direction, timeline, and overall development of the event program, proofread and present for approval.Facilitate the creative direction and fulfillment of program-related participant and host communication materials for events.Facilitate and oversee data management process, integrity, accuracy and reporting. Ensure reconciliation of data is complete and accurate.What we're looking for Degree in business, hospitality, or any professional disciplinesMinimum of 5 years' experience in event management, preferably within the travel and tourism industryMinimum 3 years of managerial experience.Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholdersA creative flair and attention to detail to deliver high-quality, engaging eventsProficiency in using event planning software and toolsAdaptability and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challengesAbout us
