Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and serology on patient samples (e.g., blood, urine, and tissue).Analyze and interpret results with accuracy and efficiency, reporting abnormal findings to attending physicians or specialists.Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, analyzers, centrifuges, and automated testing devices.Conduct quality control (QC) tests and participate in quality assurance (QA) programs to ensure reliability and validity of test results.Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, particularly in the handling of potentially hazardous biological materials, chemicals, and infectious agents.Follow the laboratory procedures in accordance with the Department of Health (DOH) and Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) standards.Collect and process specimens following standard protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.Maintain proper documentation and record test results using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).Collaborate with medical professionals, including pathologists, doctors, and nurses, in interpreting results and discussing case findings.Stay updated with the latest developments in laboratory medicine, diagnostic technology, and healthcare regulations in the Philippines.
