Medical Receptionist (Nurse) | Night Shift | Ortigas CenterWith over 7,000 professionals across 9 delivery centers in the Philippines, we remains the country's largest offshoring solutions provider.Medical Receptionist, be 100% YOU!A Medical Receptionist is expected to perform the following tasks:Patients call our surgery clinic mainly to get an appointment and see one of our surgeons.The Job of the medical receptionist is critical to the functioning of a surgical clinic because surgeries for new patients cannot be scheduled unless the patient is seen and evaluated in clinic first.The medical receptionist is the front-line representative, handling and routine patient questions, scheduling appointments, and helping the patients navigate the clinic as necessary by forwarding their calls to the appropriate clinic staff members.Day to Day tasks Involved:Scheduling Appointments:Make or change appointments, Appointments can be set through many routesIncoming calls: patients call to schedule or change an appointment.Fax Machine: Referring doctors will fax a referrals and we call the patientRecall System: our clinic recall system has the list of patients who are due for follow-upPerformance Metric: # of Appointments set daily a record of New, Follow-up and Post-op appointments is kept in the daily ledger.Clinic Schedule:One medical receptionist is assigned protected the task of making the clinic schedule. This schedule is uploaded to the cloud 48 hours before each clinic day any last minute changes done within the 48 hour window are done one the fly by the receptionist and the clinic calendar is updated with those at the time those changes happen.Performance Metric:Clinic Schedules are uploaded 48 hours before a clinic day and updated up to the day before the actual clinic day for accuracy.Answering Inquiries: The medical receptionist answers basic questions and forwards calls to a more senior member if they don't know the answer to that question.Insurance Verification: verify patient insurance coverage, updated insurance details when necessary, inform patient of their copay as necessary.What it takes to be part of our team: Must have Customer Service in Healthcare experience Good communication skills Amenable to onsite Set-up. Amenable to work on a Night Shift.Nursing Graduate is a plus Prior Experience verifying patient insurances is a plus Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to de-escalate a frustrated patient Competency in: Microsoft Word and Excel Typing Competency Ability to multi-task. For example: In between patient phone calls, generate the schedule for an upcoming clinic. Although extensive training is provided during the on-boarding process, knowledge of medical terminology, being a good typist and knowledge of Office Products is preferred. Should be able to deal with patients in a kind and understanding manner. Although not common but de-escalating the situation when presented with a frustrated patient is required.
