Medical Biller

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with expertise in mental health billing to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the end-to-end medical billing process and hands-on experience with AdvanceMD software.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and smooth workflow management within our mental health practice.
Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the full medical billing cycle from patient registration to payment posting and account reconciliation.
- Handle insurance claims submissions, resubmissions, and appeals for mental health services.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for mental health services.
- Follow up on outstanding claims and address denials or rejections.
- Post payments accurately, reconcile accounts, and manage patient billing inquiries.
- Maintain and update patient billing records using AdvanceMD.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare billing standards.
- Collaborate with therapists, office staff, and insurance companies to resolve any billing issues.
Requirements:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on mental health billing.
- Proficiency in AdvanceMD or similar medical billing software.
- Thorough understanding of the end-to-end medical billing process, including claims submission, payment posting, and account management.
- Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, particularly for mental health services.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
