Medical Biller

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with expertise in mental health billing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the end-to-end medical billing process and hands-on experience with AdvanceMD software. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and smooth workflow management within our mental health practice.

Key Responsibilities: Manage the full medical billing cycle from patient registration to payment posting and account reconciliation.Handle insurance claims submissions, resubmissions, and appeals for mental health services.Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for mental health services.Follow up on outstanding claims and address denials or rejections.Post payments accurately, reconcile accounts, and manage patient billing inquiries.Maintain and update patient billing records using AdvanceMD.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare billing standards.Collaborate with therapists, office staff, and insurance companies to resolve any billing issues. Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on mental health billing.Proficiency in AdvanceMD or similar medical billing software.Thorough understanding of the end-to-end medical billing process, including claims submission, payment posting, and account management.Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, particularly for mental health services.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
