The Mechanical QC (Quality Control) Superintendent is tasked with overseeing and ensuring the quality of mechanical installations and systems in power plants. This role includes conducting inspections, managing quality control processes, and working with project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise a team of mechanical quality control inspectors and coordinate their daily tasks involving mechanical inspections and quality assurance.Utilize your expertise to perform all aspects of mechanical inspection, including reporting and ensuring that project requirements are successfully met.Perform and supervise inspections, tests, and evaluations of mechanical equipment, materials, and installations to verify adherence to specifications and standards.Keep precise records, reports, and documentation of inspection activities and quality control measures.Work with other departments, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with quality standards.Here's what you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.Minimum 5 years experience in Mechanical Equipment for Solar PV Farm and BESS.Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components used in solar PV and battery energy storage projects.Knowledge in plumbing, firefighting, and water supply systems.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Willingness to be assigned onsite on a project basis.Jacobs is committed to driving a culture of caring where you can be you.
