Mechanical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

Handles estimate and costing of various mechanical works including quantity take-off and computations

Prepares details and shop drawing of mechanical works as required by the Construction and Engineering Departments

Reviews and analyze design specifications and technical drawings. Provide system's design when necessary

Assists purchasing in canvassing from suppliers/subcontractors on items related to mechanical works and reviews compliance to specifications.

Handles filing and maintenance of all mechanical documents

Assists in the preparation of bid estimates and other related works

Assists in the logistical requirement of the company both in the Main Office and Project sites specifically on items related to mechanical

Handles implementation and monitoring of small projects related to mechanical

Assists in the research and development program of the department specifically for new technologies that would be helpful to the construction

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Job Specification:

Minimum Educational Attainment: College Degree in Mechanical Engineering, pref. licensed

Minimum Experience: at least 2 years related experience

Min. Skills/Trainings Required: basic design; estimation; autocad operation; computer literate; planning and scheduling
