Job Description About the Role: The Mechanical Draftsperson is responsible for the successful design, development and implementation of marketleading products that meet the needs of the customers, sales, manufacturing, technical and onsite service teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and modelling of new assemblies and parts.Creating detailed fabrication/workshop drawings.Updating and revising existing assemblies and drawings.Site measuring of industrial machines and infrastructure.Support the continuous improvement of design systems used by the organisation, investigate new drafting techniques, and drafting equipment and recommend changes to standard practices.Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safe design practices.Liaising with project managers, sales team and external clients.Requirements3+ years of relevant design or drafting experience, preferably in the industrial or Heavy manufacturing sector.A degree qualification in Mechanical engineering or design drafting in agricultural and industrial fields.Experience with Various current 2D and 3D CAD Software.An understanding of manufacturing processes, statistical methods and tools.Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Able to work within a team environment Additional Job Details: Set-up and Location: Office-based (Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu)/Remote Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) | 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PH Time) Employment Type: Full-time All interviews and other hiring requirements are done virtually or through video calls or emails. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Technical: At least 5-7 years + postgraduate experience. Bachelor of Structural or Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia– essential. High level of competence in the use of Strand7 (nice-to-have), and Space Gass (required). Highly skilled at producing neat, auditable, hand calculation and calculations in Microsoft Excel, Mathcad or similar software. Ability to create engineering reports. Experienced in designing to AS4100 and relevant Australian Standards (must-have). Competence in using Permissible Stress techniques for analysis as well as Limit State Design techniques. Experience with the design of Industrial structures is desirable e.g. large workshops, material handling, and processing plants; High degrees of competence in the design of concrete and steel structures. Strong organisational and system ability – that is following structures for work flows, numbering and filing. Highly competent problem solver. Sound understanding of construction principles and methods. Personal: Ability to deliver quality projects concurrently in an efficient manner. Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written. Team player, experienced with multi-disciplinary teams. Nice to Haves: CPEng or eligible. Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ), or eligible. Experience in working for engineering consultancies. Experience in studies and the level of design required for these. Understanding in the design of mine site structures such as conveyors, process plant structures, materials handling structures and large workshops. Experience in reviewing and modifying existing structures for upgrades and or remediation.
