JOB TITLE: Marketing Director - UFS SEASA

Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) is the €2bn foodservice division of Unilever.
It leads the dynamic Food Service market across its categories and has ambitious growth objectives, marketing a range of professional food products and services to operators across 22 Multi Country Organizations (MCOs) in 67 countries.
We carry a portfolio of strong international and local brands including Knorr Professional, Hellmann's, The Vegetarian Butcher, Bango, Royco and Lady's Choice.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As the Marketing Director, you will define and drive the marketing growth agenda of UFS in SEASA, a dynamic and high-growth region with some of the most vibrant cuisines globally.
SEASA includes the following countries: Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Pakistan.
There are four critical elements of the role:
- Brand, Portfolio & Innovation
- Digital Transformation & Operator Experience (CX)
- Integrated Business Plans
- Agile Culture and Team leadership
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Brand, Portfolio & Innovation:
- Leads mid-to-long term portfolio strategy and mix development, with clear focus on Core and Future Core including Plant-Based
- Ensures game-changing and insight-led innovations and core campaigns are brought to life to drive business growth, increase penetration, and market leadership
- Walks the talk on brand purpose
- Ensures profitable, robust funnel sufficiency to fuel growth
Digital Transformation & Operator Experience (CX):
- Works closely with global and local data, tech, and CD teams to drive end-to-end digital transformation in the region
- Defines the CX strategy and prioritization, then mobilizes the functions to build the right data structures, system integrations, and processes to unlock superior CX
- Uses data and insight to define the growth strategy & plan with financial targets and clearly defined JTBD across operator groups
- Ensures that marketing is the "diner, operator, shopper, customer, competitor" insight expert together with CMI for trends, competitor landscape and insights.
- Continuously upskills in the team in digital, to be able to create exceptional omni-channel customer experiences that drive engagement and conversion
Integrated Business Plans:
- Clear prioritization and resourcing for strategic priorities - including Brand building, product innovation, CX innovation, customer lifecycles and omni-channel trade planning & execution
- Leads a team to strong integrated online & offline execution, monitoring and optimization of plans
- Ensures integrated annual plans that deliver on growth and financial ambitions
- Strong monitoring of results, with continuous (re)prioritization and choices (START, STOP, PIVOT) for all initiatives
- Works with PR, media, and activation agencies to land impactful communication
Team Leadership:
- Coaches, develops and motivates a team of 30+ category, digital, and trade marketers across the region to higher performance
- Change management: Develops a culture of customer-centricity, with data and insight as the foundation for successful marketing strategy and execution
- Strategically influences multi-functional teams to land aligned plans
- Coaches and develops the team to drive actions with clarity, speed and agility
- Talent development and succession planning
Partners the Managing Directors of each market to achieve sustained, long-term and profitable growth
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Passion for shaping the future of food
- Curious and results driven
- 15+ years experience across marketing disciplines: Brand Management, Product innovation, Activation (including Digital demand generation, precision marketing, CRM), PR and events
- Ideally with regional or global experience
- Passion for building a high-performing marketing team and nurturing talent
- Strong change management and stakeholder influencing skills in a complex and matrix organization - able to effectively communicate with customers, cross-functional teams, leadership teams, local and regional/ global teams
- Willing to travel 25% of time - across the local market to meet with customers
