Be the national external / market face of GHD's Resources business. This role is responsible for major project opportunity identification and conversion. Success will be measured by top line revenue growth, pipeline growth and increased brand presence. Activities will include driving business development by cultivating strong relationships with existing and new clients and delivery partners in the heavy industry sectors like mining, cement, steel, oil, and gas excluding power generation. The role is also responsible for overseeing the collaborative delivery of a wide range of E&R projects from inception through to completion on a national basis.

Your responsibilities will include:
Corporate business development relating to the Philippine market, promoting growth and sustainable profitability specifically in Resources on a national basis.
Promote the shared vision of the Strategic Plan for both GHD and the region.
Design and execution of a strategy to increase GHD's market share of private & public sector clients across the Philippines.
Direction, coordination and mentoring of business group leaders serving the Resources market within the Philippine region.
Technical leadership on projects as required and direction and input on major tenders/bids or proactive client proposals.

Business Development
Lead business development for major Resources projects across the Philippines, including responses to tenders and proposals for major projects.
Cultivate strong relationships with both existing and new clients and delivery partners (including sub-consultants) in the Resources sector, driving the growth of the business.
Act as a champion of GHD's Resources business in the Philippines, building strong relationships with clients, contractors, government, and joint venture partners, and contribute to the company's outstanding track record in the Resources and relevant infrastructure sectors.

Client Focus
Oversee the delivery of a wide range of Resources projects from inception through to completion, both on time and on budget to facilitate curating of long-term business relationships with clients.
Promoting relationships with existing/potential clients and increasing business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business.
Expanding client base by promoting GHD's services within the Resources sector - by representing GHD at forums, meetings, industry events etc.
Developing/maintaining client management systems, with regular contact and meetings with key clients.
Acting as steering group committee member on major projects or joint ventures.

Leadership & Management
Provide leadership on a national level for Resources project pursuits across the Philippines. This includes leading all business development activities in relation to mining, cement, steel and other potential emerging Resource sub-markets, as well as co-ordinating and directing activities and resources nationally in the successful market positioning of GHD and securing of projects.
Leading and managing client facing activities, build positive relationship that yield annual growth and revenue targets.
Collaborating with senior management, colleagues, and project partners to facilitate creating new or innovative solutions for clients.
Contributing to GHD's short and long-term profitability through strategic or major project wins.
Improving opportunity conversion rates.
Leading or supporting pursuit plans and tender responses for major Resources projects
Leads the development and submission of proposals for large or complex, high-risk projects, which may involve convincing internal and external stakeholders who at times may be unwilling or skeptical to accept proposals or plans.

Strategic & Financial Planning
Defining and measuring success metrics and supervising change progress.
Play a leadership role in undertaking activities which contribute to GHD's short- and long-term profitability.
Establish and implement a strategic vision for Resources nationally, ensuring that GHD has a rigorous business plan for short- and long-term growth.
Improve tender success rates.
Effectively mapping and running revenue targets and its accomplishment.
Responsible for extracting and preparing reports for internal and stakeholder review.

Essential to your success in this role will be your:
Strong reputation in the Philippine Resources market.
Prior experience operating at a Technical Director / Principal level.
Will have led an engineering project in the mining and cement industries.
First-hand experience operating in a matrixed engineering consulting environment, ideally with client-side exposure.
Strong network of client relationships in the mining, cement, steel, oil, gas, or similar Resources sectors. Including established relationships at a high level with relevant private sector influencers and market authorities.
A strong track record of winning and delivering on major Resources projects. Be a champion of diversity, innovation, and inclusion.
At least 10 years of relevant experience.

This position is also open to expatriates with reputable experience in the market in the Philippines, under an international local hire arrangement.
