Over-all Purpose and Responsibilities:As the Managing Director, you will lead a small team with a strong focus on continued growth. This role requires a hands-on approach, where you'll actively lead from the front as the company expands incrementally. Your core responsibilities will encompass leadership, strategic planning, capacity management, service delivery, legal compliance, and team development.
Responsibilities:Management and supervision of functional managers (audit, tax, accounting, and bookkeeping)Monitoring of completion of client deliverablesRecruitment and retention of professional staff:Development and implementation of recruitment strategyDevelopment, benchmarking, and adjustment of compensation strategyResource allocation:Creation of staffing plan at the beginning of the year (capacity planning)Optimization and adjustments to the staffing plan during the yearOperational Metrics:Development of annual operating goals and budgetReview of operational metrics (e.g., revenue and expenses by functional line, staffing efficiency, budget versus actual)Marketing:Implementation of marketing planCompliance:Review of company-wide financial statementsOversight of financial, tax, payroll, and other regulatory complianceOther job responsibilities may be assigned to you depending on business needs.Minimum Requirements:Candidates from any industry are welcome, with a preference for those coming from accounting firms.Proven experience managing and supervising functional managers in areas such as audit, tax, accounting, and bookkeeping - Highly advantageousProficiency in developing annual operating goals and budgetsKnowledge of implementing and managing marketing plans to support business objectivesExperience in reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of company-wide financial statementsStrong oversight capabilities for financial, tax, payroll, and other regulatory compliance areas.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and make data-driven decisionsJob type: Permanent
