The Analytics & Data Science Manager is a specialized role that revolves around the primary responsibilities of data analysis, comprehensive reporting, and seamless interaction with all organizational departments to ensure the fulfillment of their diverse data requirements. This role is dedicated to the meticulous examination of data sources, extracting actionable insights, and delivering information that aids decision-making across the company. Furthermore, the manager acts as a central point of contact, proactively engaging with various departments to ascertain that their specific data needs are met in a timely and effective manner, thereby promoting data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
High-level Responsibilities Report directly to the director of the Data team and coordinate the execution of a wide variety of dynamic, high-priority strategic projects Manage a team of data analysts and data specialists providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to drive team performance and professional growth. Direct the analysis of complex data sets to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex data-related challenges and provide strategic solutions. Maximize our BI tool's full potential by overseeing their strategic implementation and ensuring their ongoing maintenance and optimization for maximum benefit. Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business objectives. Track and analyze KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives. Ensure effective communication of data-driven insights to various departments through data visualization tools and reports, making complex information accessible and actionable. Identify and assess external data sources that can enhance analytics capabilities and support strategic initiatives. Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in data science and analytics, implementing best practices within the team to drive innovation and efficiency. Promote ethical data handling practices and ensure that the team adheres to ethical standards in data analysis and reporting. Skills and Experience Proven experience as a data manager, preferably within a data-intensive environment and experience in leading and managing technical teams. Solid understanding of statistical methods and hypothesis testing for robust data analysis. Collaborate with various departments (e.g., finance, operations) to identify opportunities for data-driven optimizations and guide strategic initiatives. Ability to manage projects, allocate resources effectively, and meet deadlines within budget constraints. The capability to align data initiatives with the organization's strategic goals and translate data into actionable insights. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex data-related challenges.
