Functions: Develop, maintain, and enhance LifeAsia insurance system applications using COBOL programming language.Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Design, code, test, debug, and implement COBOL programs and modules within the LifeAsia environment.Conduct performance tuning and optimization of COBOL programs to ensure efficient processing and resource utilization.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for LifeAsia system issues, including investigating and resolving production incidents.Work closely with database administrators to ensure seamless integration with DB400 databases and optimize database performance.Perform system analysis and impact assessment for proposed changes and enhancements to the LifeAsia system.Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentorship of junior developers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, project management, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to LifeAsia and COBOL development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience as a Mid Developer or similar role, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in LifeAsia development and COBOL programming.Strong proficiency in LifeAsia systemStrong proficiency in Cobol and AS400Proficient in creating business objects in AS400Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
