Legal Counsel

Job Description:

The Legal Counsel will provide expert legal guidance to support the company's operations and growth in the renewable energy sector.
This role involves ensuring compliance with industry regulations, managing contractual matters, and mitigating legal risks associated with business activities.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on corporate and operational matters, especially those related to the energy and power industry.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations specific to the renewable energy sector.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks by developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, or negotiations when necessary.
• Support the management team in business decisions by providing clear legal insights and strategies.
• Collaborate with external legal firms as needed for specialized legal matters.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure proactive compliance.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.
or Juris Doctor) and licensed to practice law in the Philippines.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in the energy and power industry.
• Prior experience with regulatory compliance, contract law, and corporate governance in a startup environment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy regulations and environmental laws.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Salary Range:
PHP 100,000 - PHP 180,000 per month
