POSITION SUMMARY The Lead Product Manager manages the conception, development, testing, and launch of a new product or feature. Point person for all things on the product development side. From creating the product roadmap to ensuring that all cross-functional teams and stakeholders are on the same page, the lead product manager does most of the upper-level management. Execution and strategizing for a product roadmap that envisions short, medium, and long-term plans supporting the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create Product StrategyGain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow the product's capabilities, improve customer experience and drive product adoption and usageCreate buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partnersCreate product roadmaps that support the company's mission and visionManage the Development Process: Oversee and set up processes for the entire product development process, from start to finishUnderstanding customer needs and demands and estimating product costsCoordinating between management, marketing, and development teamsCreating production schedulesSetting up product backlog with prioritization of in-demand featuresImplement Backlog PrioritizationTranslate product roadmap into detailed requirements and prototypesScope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impactManage the roadmap, prioritize product opportunities, refine feature ideas and maintain existing features to drive business goalsOptimize User ExperienceEnsure in-depth research of what customers generally demand from a similar product and how accessible specific product features are to a wide range of usersFind ways to reduce the time-to-solution, which is the time it takes for an end-user to solve a problem with the productCollaborate with StakeholdersWork closely with technical teams to deliver quick time-to-market and optimal resourcesUpdate decision makers about the product at key points of its lifecycleRelay development schedules, costs, and customer feedbackCultivate supplier and vendor relationshipsAct as a product evangelist to build awareness and understandingQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Information ManagementCollaboration with product managers working on a single/several productsProven track record of working with developers and various stakeholders to coordinate, plan, execute, and track product releases from beginning to endExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding project and time management skillsStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one's sleeves to get the job doneOutstanding ability to analyze, isolate and interpret business needs into detailed requirementsStrong understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycleFamiliarity with agile software development methodologiesDemonstrates a can-do attitude and willingness to learn and work as a teamProven track record of being an SME to a product/sOne or more of the following certifications - Product Manager Certificate, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Agile Certified Practitioner - PMI-ACP
