Why this role is important to us:SimCorp is maturing its process and risk governance set-up by forming a new Group Process Excellence Team within Group Risk Management. We will foster a culture of process excellence and accountability and develop and implement governance frameworks to enhance risk management and control processes.
As our Lead Internal Controls Consultant, you will play a crucial role in defining the internal control system framework, ensuring quality assurance and adequate control design, and reporting on the effectiveness of the internal control system. You will collaborate with various departments across the whole organization to identify and mitigate process risks and establish high standards and best practice controls. Your expertise is essential to guarantee that our internal control environment is effective and reliable, and to demonstrate our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
What you will be responsible for:ICS Framework: Support the development and implementation of an Internal Control System (ICS) framework for SimCorp including the governance approach around it and oversee the effective implementation of the framework. Support in the continued development and documentation of the ICS framework, including the preparation and alignment of policies, supporting materials, guidelines etc.Quality Control and Assurance: Perform control assurance measures to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls. Support effective remediation of identified Control Deficiencies owned by the 1st Line of Defense, including the review of planned actions, the ongoing monitoring of implementation measures and the re-assessment after completion. Facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments owned and performed by the 1st Line of Defense, including quality assurance and support.Reporting: Measure and monitor the overall effectiveness of the ICS in collaboration with the process owner and prepare ICS Reporting to senior and executive management.Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance for the 1st Line of Defense in applying ICS & Risk Management Processes.What we value:A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent professional qualification.Good knowledge of relevant frameworks/regulations (e.g., COSO, COBIT, ITIL).Experience in an (internal) Consulting or Project/Change Management role.Experience in the fields of ICS, Operational Risk Management / Risk Governance or Internal Audit.Process-oriented and analytical thinker with a proactive change mentality, and possesses high conceptual and critical thinking skills.Adopts a constructive, hands-on, and pragmatic work approach; open to new ways of working, thrives on progress and improvements, and is a flexible and versatile team player.Capable of interacting effectively with stakeholders at all levels, enjoys working in cross-functional teams and projects, and is keen to implement and steer governance processes.Excels at creating effective PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences.Possesses very good written and verbal communication skills in English.Proficient in MS Office applications.Amenable to work in EMEA hours.BenefitsAn attractive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement.
