Laboratory Technician

Responsible for checking the compliance of raw materials and products to set standard specifications during the production process up to the final stage to ensure quality of finished products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Follows all standard operating procedures based on NPPI's Quality System.
· Conducts inspection using the required test methods and equipment on raw materials, SFG and FG it they conform to standard specifications.
· Deals with Production Staff on samples for inspection and with any follow-up regarding the status of each batch.
· Prepares required daily and monthly output report.
· Performs other laboratory works such as quality checking of slow or non-moving raw material, SFG and FG.
· Coordinates with Process QC Staff in the inspection of some processes which require quality control guidance and monitoring.
· Facilitates the handling and storage of retain samples of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods.
· Controls the adjustment of matting agent on products which require gloss adjustment with the guidance from immediate superior.
· Conducts internal color approval of products submitted by Production Tinters.
· Handles and controls the issuance and storage of standard and retain panels.
· Submits the product for approval to respective customer.
· Handles and prepares the renewal of standard panel for NPPI use and as maybe required by the customer.
· Performs the second sample checking prior to packaging and recommend the adjustment of viscosity as deemed necessary
· Performs other QC activities in the absence of assigned Technician.
· Carries out 5S activities and the company's activities as well as in specific assignments.
· Must strictly follow company's safety, environmental and quality policies, and procedures
· Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Education: High School/Vocational graduate or college level.
Experience: At least 1 year experience in related fields of work or must have passed at least six months training for Technician
At least with basic knowledge in use of computer
Other Skills: Must have good written and oral communication skills
Must have passed color vision test (maximum score 32)
Must have knowledge of Basic Paint Technology
Must have good interpersonal skills
