Laboratory Technician

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
Prepare and handle chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for testing.
Analyze and interpret test results, documenting findings accurately.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Conduct routine calibrations and quality control checks on laboratory equipment.
Assist in the development and validation of new testing procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities, results, and inventories.
Monitor and manage laboratory supplies, ordering as needed.
Report any equipment malfunctions, deviations, or non-compliance promptly.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or related field.
Proven experience as a Laboratory Technician in a manufacturing or research environment.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a laboratory setting.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with colleagues.
Understanding of PEZA regulations related to laboratory practices is a plus.
