Staff4Me is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Labor and Employment Officer with a background in Philippine Taxation to join our team. As a Labor and Employment Officer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on labor and employment matters, as well as handling tax-related concerns and compliance.
Responsibilities Developing and implementing labor and employment policies and procedures in compliance with Philippine laws and regulations. Providing advice and guidance on labor and employment matters, including employment contracts, employee benefits, disciplinary actions, and termination. Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations in relation to employee compensation, benefits, and payroll. Preparing and submitting tax reports, returns, and other required documentation to the relevant Philippine tax authorities. Handling tax audits and resolving any tax-related issues or disputes. Keeping up-to-date with changes in labor and employment laws and tax regulations, and advising the company on any potential impact. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including HR, finance, and legal teams, to ensure consistent and compliant practices. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and regulations. In-depth knowledge and experience in Philippine taxation, including income tax, employee compensation, and other relevant tax matters. Excellent understanding of payroll processes and compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including MS Office and relevant HRIS or payroll systems. Professional certification in HR, accounting, or taxation is a plus.
