KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT OFFICER
 
Job Summary
 
Responsible for developing, supporting and facilitating knowledge and information management related to implementation of identified projects as well as RAFI MFI?s Knowledge repository, including documentation of key activities and learning points and producing knowledge products accordingly in order to facilitate replication of good practices and learning.
Identify, develop and implement modules for capacity development activities, including training courses, seminars and workshops through a comprehensive consultation process with appropriate stakeholders in partnership with the human capital team to ensure that the modules identified/ adapted and/or developed are based on current policies and needs of the organization
 
Job Description
Implementation of the organization?s knowledge management strategy
Follow thru the organization?s knowledge management strategy and framework
Within this framework, work collaboratively with program units, Team Leaders, Center for
Research and Data Insights to identify, and prioritize types of knowledge to develop and capture
Establish and maintain processes to ensure knowledge management efforts are shaping strategy and informing decision making
Help create a culture of sharing this knowledge among staff, grantees, community partners and opinion leaders, and peers
Create collaborative tools to facilitate sharing of ideas that are of use to colleagues, grantees, and other partners
Provide support to program staff to establish and nurture communities of practice/learning communities
Work with communications
officer to determine how to best share knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders/audiences, including print and electronic informationWork with communications officer to prepare information about Foundation initiatives to share with policymakers.
Work with external evaluators to share evaluation results for external audiences
Participate in information sharing and education with peer foundations.
Support efforts to identify and develop relationships with nonprofit and private sector partners and funders in support of foundation activities
Partner closely with Communications Officer to identify and utilize new communication channels to share the organization?s knowledge with different audiences
Identify the training needs, develop training modules/curriculum in collaboration with Human Capital and other organizational capacity building activities.
Drive appropriate learning agenda to foster development in coordination with Team Leaders and use of best practices and improve outcomes in projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or other relevant courses
At least 2 years of experience in community development, and development communication
Experienced in creating and managing an online/offline knowledge repository
Demonstrates ability to work autonomously in discovering and assimilating information, analyzing problems, proposing and implementing knowledge management frameworks
Demonstrates experience in being a team player
Excellent written and oral communication skills in positions requiring communicating with a broad and diverse audience
Ability to conceptualize, plan, synthesize and integrate knowledge and learning
