Qualifications:
? Obtained a Bachelor's or College degree in either of the following - Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and/or related field.
? At least one to two (1-2) years working experience in Quality Assurance and/or testing;
? Must have experience in writing test cases and test scripts;
? Must have a proper understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (both Waterfall and Agile Development);
? With acceptable knowledge of QA testing tools, different test design techniques, standards and processes;
? A good analytical skills and communicative competence;
Job Description:
1. QA Process
a. Understand and comply with the defined and agreed Software Development
Life Cycle and CMMI standards of the organization.
b. Understands various approaches used in testing such as System,
Integration and Regression.
c. Able to apply appropriate test design techniques in writing test cases.
d. Collaborates with Manual Quality Analyst II and/or Senior Manual Quality
Analyst to develop effective strategies and test plans.
e. Collaborates with Manual Quality Analyst II and/or Senior Manual Quality
Analyst to provide test effort estimation for small and medium size projects.
f. Writes Test Cases and Test Scripts and creates Test Data (if needed).
g. Properly executes the given test cases / test scripts, identifies the correct
behavior of the system under test, replicates and reports uncovered
defects.
h. Performs the activities necessary to execute tests in accordance with the
test plan and test design (including setting up tests and test data).
i. Tests and certifies software defect fixes and new functionality. Executes
functional, application and regression tests for software releases.
j. Writes clear and precise defect reports as required for identified software
defects and functional defects based on testing results.
k. Writes and submits Test Summary Report and/or Acceptance TesT
Certificate.
l. Contributes to the continuous improvement of the QA procedures and
guidelines.
m. Satisfy customer by providing clear testing specifications and quality
product according to specified requirements.
2. Administrative
a. Records activities in ATLAS and reports/elevates issues to superior when
needed.
b. Conducts needed validation to ensure compliance to the procedures in
CMMI.
c. Prepares and submits needed reports.
3. Teamwork
a. Closely coordinates with other team members of the applications
development and support.
b. Facilitates effective team interaction adhering to the values of the company
and meeting the objectives.
4. Learning and Development
a. Expand knowledge on business process and IT related information
b. Stay abreast of current technology, system information, problems, changes
and updates relevant to the team;
