_PRIMARY FUNCTION: _
The position is responsible for representing the Company and its subsidiaries (collectively the "Company") in criminal, civil, labor and administrative actions and other legal proceedings, draw up legal documents, manage or advise the Company on legal transactions, and assist the corporate secretary in corporate housekeeping duties.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: _
1.
Represents the company in litigation cases and appears in court and administrative hearings.
2.
Provides accurate and timely legal research, services and counsel to corporate executives in various fields of law (i.e.
corporation law, labor law, etc.)
and assist in evaluating risk factors affecting business decisions and operations.
3.
Collaborates with the Head of Legal and Labor Relations in devising legal strategies and planning.
4.
Assists the Head of Legal and Labor Relations in monitoring corporate compliance and corporate reportorial requirements with government entities such as the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Intellectual Property Office (IPO), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Food and Drugs Administration (BFAD), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
5.
Communicates and negotiates with external parties (i.e.
adverse parties, public authorities, etc.
);
6.
Drafts, reviews and solidifies agreement, contracts and other legal documents to ensure Company's full legal rights and compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
7.
Maintains current knowledge of changes in legislation.
8.
Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- QUALIFICATIONS: _
- Must be a passer of the Philippine Bar Examination and currently licensed to practice law in the Philippines
- At least 2 - 4 years of experience in litigation practice
- Possesses the qualifications to be a commissioned Notary Public for and in Mandaluyong
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Court, corporate law, labor law, tax law and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
- Membership in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in good standing and possesses a high degree of professional ethics, integrity and responsibility
- Good time management, organizational and project management skills
- Outstanding communication skills and proficiency in the English Language, both oral and written
- Possesses leadership, decision-making and negotiation skills, flexibility and willingness to be trained, and a team-player
**Salary**: Php50,000.00 - Php65,000.00 per month
