POSITION SUMMARY:The Junior Salesman/Driver is responsible for delivering products to customers. This role involves driving a company vehicle to various locations and to ensure road worthiness of the assigned company vehicle. He is responsible to assist the Area Sales Representative (ASR) in the day-to-day operations. He is also tasked to take over the selling operations in the absence of the ASR as deemed necessary.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Product Delivery:•Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers as per the delivery schedule.•Verify delivery details and ensure the accurate delivery of products.•Handle products with care to avoid damage during transit.2.Customer Service:•Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.•Assist the Area Sales Representative (ASR) in addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.3.Route Management:•Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries to optimize time and fuel usage.•Ensure timely deliveries and communicate any delays to the Sales Manager and customers.•Maintain accurate records of deliveries and sales transactions.4.Product Knowledge:•Stay informed about the company's products, including features, benefits, and pricing.•Assist in gathering market intelligence and feedback from customers regarding products and services.5.Vehicle Maintenance:•Ensure the company vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.•Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.•Follow all traffic and safety regulations while driving.6.Documentation:•Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions.•Manage delivery receipts and assist in sales orders.7.Merchandising:•Responsible in postering and installation of other merchandising materials.•Conduct product sampling to increase brand awareness.QUALIFICATIONS:1.Education: High school diploma or equivalent.2.Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in sales and/or driving.3.Skills:a.Valid professional driver's license (with restriction codes 1, 2, and 3) in the Philippines.b.Good driving record with no major traffic violations.c.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.d.Basic sales and negotiation skills.e.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.f.Knowledge of the local area and delivery routes.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:1.Experience in a similar role within the [specific industry, e.g., FMCG, retail, distribution] sector.2.Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance.3.Proficiency in using mobile devices and basic software for reporting and communication.WORKING CONDITIONS:1.Predominantly field-based role involving significant driving and customer interactions.2.Standard working hours with potential for extended hours, including weekends and holidays, based on delivery schedules and sales targets.3.Physical demands, including loading and unloading products and extensive driving.
