Responsibilities: An entry-level opportunity for a Data Research Analyst. This position will be responsible for meeting monthly deadlines for core deliverables, including processing source files, data clean-up, data verification, and researching regulatory filings.
Work with contact/client firms to obtain timely data files
Organize and manipulate Excel spreadsheets using Excel functions, formulas, and pivot tables
Record fund level/sub-account data into our proprietary data entry system
Compare asset totals to historical data,questioning large fluctuations
Resolve data issues by examining and researching historical data, prospectuses, and data from other sources
Research changes in SEC filings (name changes, mergers, acquisition, liquidations, etc.)
Effectively utilize ISS databases, the SEC Edgar website, and the Internet to complete research
Run data quality checks and resolve data issues
Help maintain documentation of work processes and institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database
Actively cross-train and expand opportunities to work on various data processing and research responsibilities across different ISS databases
Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of mutual fund, annuity, and/or insurance industry is a plus
Experience using Excel to manipulate and prepare financial data a plus
Research oriented personality
Must have a keen attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and follow-up skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively and professionally with contacts, clients, and fellow colleagues
Team player; can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural work environment
Work Arrangement and Schedule Amenable to working in Makati City on a permanent non-traditional schedule (3pm-12am, Manila Time); Flexible working hours as business requires
Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days working onsite per week)
Amenable to undergo 2-6 months onsite training (3pm-12am) prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement
