Job Description
The Jr. Applications and Database Specialist (ADS) ensures the availability and reliability of any services used by ORIX Metro Leasing and Finance Corporation testing environments database, including administration of its server operating categorized by platforms, applications, and systems where these services are running. In coordination with the Information Security Officer and IT Security Administrator, the Applications and Database Specialist ensures the integrity and security of its environments to prevent misuse or mishandling of resources that could affect the deliverables to fix or enhance systems in production.
Assists ADA and ADA Lead in performing asset discovery, identification of assets, risk assessment, and reporting to provide recommendations to remediate asset misconfiguration following configuration and change process.
Manages platforms, applications, and databases to ensure that only authorized staff, devices, and equipment have access, following the least privilege principle affecting non-production environment.
Collaborates with the application support and systems engineers to remediate issues during an incident.
Manages server operating systems of non- production environment where application and database services are running so that they can perform their day-to-day tasks or deliverables.
Non-Exemption/Must Have
Graduated with a BS in IT / Computer Engineering / ECE / Computer Science or a related field. (Non-negotiable)
At least 1 year of experience in an organization with a large, 24/7, mission-critical operations environment that supports enterprise systems. (Non-negotiable)
At least 1 year of experience as a application or database administrator or engineer. (Non-negotiable)
At least 1 year of experience as a technical or application support. (Non-negotiable)
Skill Competencies and Personal Attributes
Knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating System Administration. (Non-negotiable)
Team player and process-oriented, able to work under pressure with knowledge in Internet Information Service (IIS), SQL Database services, ODBC configuration, T-SQL or SQL language. (Non-negotiable)
