As a Accountant you are responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax returns, bank reconciliations, general ledger reviews, forecasting and budgeting of Philippine and Hong Kong entities.
What you'll do As a Accountant you are expected to produce a high volume of complex accounting work and to take the lead on the preparation of corporate financials and special projects.
Responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to:
Financial close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other analysesSupport external reporting process and deadlinesCoordinate and assist with external audit requestsAssist with implementation and complianceEnsure integrity and accuracy of financial dataAssist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and proceduresProactively identify issues, drive continuous improvement, optimize and automate processes/systemsProvide support for special projects, initiatives, and analysesCollaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting-related queries.Generate and send invoices to clients promptly and accurately and ensure timely collections
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience is required, outsourcing industry experience is preferredProficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel and Google spreadsheet skillsExperience in Xero is preferredWorking knowledge of reporting requirementsStrong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environmentBackground in payroll calculation and processingWilling to be based in Siargao Island
