Junior Accountant

As a Accountant you are responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax returns, bank reconciliations, general ledger reviews, forecasting and budgeting of Philippine and Hong Kong entities.What you'll do As a Accountant you are expected to produce a high volume of complex accounting work and to take the lead on the preparation of corporate financials and special projects.Responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to:? Financial close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other analyses? Support external reporting process and deadlines? Coordinate and assist with external audit requests? Assist with implementation and compliance? Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data? Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures? Proactively identify issues, drive continuous improvement, optimize and automate processes/systems? Provide support for special projects, initiatives, and analyses? Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting-related queries.? Generate and send invoices to clients promptly and accurately and ensure timely collectionsMinimum Qualifications? 2+ years of relevant experience is required, outsourcing industry experience is preferred? Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel and Google spreadsheet skills? Experience in Xero is preferred? Working knowledge of reporting requirements? Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment? Background in payroll calculation and processing? Willing to be based in Siargao IslandDesired Skills? Works in an organized and disciplined manner. Very detail-oriented. Proactive by nature.? Is a self-starter who can effectively manage his/her own time to complete assignments, while demonstrating ability to think on his/her feet? Must demonstrate an ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on the needs of management and the departments.? Strong understanding of BIR regulations and tax laws in the Philippines.
