Primary DetailsThe Software Engineer designs, codes, tests, corrects, and documents complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools. Collaborates in reviews of specifications, with others as appropriate. The Servicenow Developer helps analyze business requirements, design and implement Servicenow Solutions including but not limited to Servicenow Catalog Items amendment and development, workflow configuration using agreed standards and tools. Collaborates with business stakeholders in reviews of specifications, conduct necessary testing until implementation.
Primary ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business requirements, design and implement solutions.Develop applications which includes coordination and collaboration with the BA/QA as well as the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of the project owners.Focus on improvement activities with performance improvements clearly tracked and measured.Follow the SDLC processes in the design and delivery of technology solutions while actively supporting a continuous improvement culture.Utilize expertise and deliver solutions that meet customers' needs and are in alignment with agreed scope, schedule, and budget.Recommend and effectively handover application changes and enhancements and provide support as required.Ensure that all required compliance needs are adhered to.Escalate complex issues when they arise.Adherence to company methodologies.Minimal audit findings.Ensure customer impacts are assessed and addressed in the design and delivery of solutions.Post-implementation follow up.Minimal disruption to customer-facing solutions.Positive customer feedback.Ensure appropriate support to the end users during UAT and Postproduction Testing.Participate in Defect Triage meetings.Assist with performing releases, handover and support activities as required.Estimate effort for activities, report on progress and manage all activities within agreed budget.Minimal rework required during UAT or post implementation.Test activities completed to the required level of quality, within the scheduled amount of time and to the agreed budget.Minimal disruption to business areas during and post deployment.Accuracy and timeliness of output.May mentor Junior/Associate Engineers.Successful transfer of knowledge.Create and maintain catalog items.Define approval workflows.Manage access and security.Monitor performance and usage.Create reports and dashboards.ServiceNow CMDB configuration.Item Designer Configuration.Integrations.MID server implementation and configuration experience.ServiceNow Architecture.Service Portal Configuration.Data loads /transform maps.Scripting (Java/SQL/HTML/CSS/XML/SOAP/REST).Delivery of technical documentation.Deployment via update sets and unit testing.Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.SDLC and associated methodologies followed. Required EducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Required Experience2 years relevant experience.
Required Licenses/CertificationsITIL, Servicenow Certified System Admin (CSA).
Preferred Competencies/SkillsHands on development on client server and n-tier systems.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Extensive knowledge of the Servicenow Platform.Knowledge of Javascript and HTML/CSS. Preferred EducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred ExperienceRelational database and SQL development experience.Servicenow Development experience. Preferred Licenses/CertificationsITIL Certified.Certified System Administrator (CSA).Any Six Sigma Certifications. Preferred KnowledgeBroad knowledge of software development life cycle processes.Knowledge on OOPS concepts.Knowledge on Agile.Knowledge on CI/CD implementation.Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices.Knowledge of Servicenow Workflow Configurations, Catalog Item Development and Integration.
