The Role The IT Systems and Network Administrator (Mid-Level) with a Background in Cybersecurity will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing Xurpas' software, hardware, and networks. The role involves troubleshooting, documenting, and repairing network and system failures. Additionally, the role requires developing and implementing network security measures to protect confidential information and data.
This role will report to the System Administrator - Team Lead and will work closely with it in several key areas. This role is an ideal role for an insightful self-starter with superior organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and 3+ years of exceptional cybersecurity background in a high-performing organization.
Ideal Profile Network Administration and System Administration skills. Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or a similar role. Strong Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills. Experience with firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, and AP configurations. Familiarity with security best practices and the ability to implement security measures. Understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols Familiarity with CISCO routers and switches Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and or Security+ may be preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience What's on Offer?
