Purpose of Role
The core purpose of the IT Project Manager role is to manage the end-to-end delivery of internal global technology projects within Aurecon. The role is responsible for mitigating delivery risk to the organization through ensuring that the solutions we implement meet expected business outcomes, are fit for purpose, future-proofed and are ready to be supported. This role may deliver one single project or be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently.
Key Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of an IT Project Manager include the following (but not limited to):
Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and delivery of IT projects (strongly preferred in the field of network infrastructure).
Have strong stakeholder management skill to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at various levels, including senior management, project teams, business units, and external partners.
A broad understanding of key technologies in support of technology strategy domain aligned to - Hosting (Cloud and On-Prem), Connectivity (LAN, WAN, WIFI) and Reporter's Form - Personnel Requisition Form Submitted by Joanne Caron on 2023-12-27 3:12 PM UTC Workplace (End User Devices, Windows, (Mac OS advantageous) InTune, SCCM, Audio Visual, Collaboration and Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint etc).
Have experience working with commercial & procurement teams.
Experience in managing change processes associated with network refresh projects. • Awareness of any specific challenges and opportunities related to network infrastructure projects in Asia.
Experience in developing risk management plans and contingency strategies. • Delivering projects according to a structured framework/methodology
Applying project governance and controls across each initiative – ensuring that project stage gates are adhered to and signoffs received for core deliverables.
Planning and coordinating global project resources and managing these individuals as a virtual team. • Managing project interdependencies and escalating where there are issues/ roadblocks preventing successful delivery.
Report progress and issues to stakeholders, including Steering Committee. • Delivering projects within scope, quality, schedule and budget.

Qualifications, Essential Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business or related field
Project Management Qualifications (Prince2, CPPM, PMBOK)
7+ years as an IT Project Manager (Network & Infrastructure)
Experience leading enterprise level rollouts/deployments. •
Very strong stakeholder management skills in dynamic environments.
Experience in budget and schedule tracking, cost control and resource forecasting (Large Scale Projects)
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and drive stakeholders to deliver on committed outcomes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing skills.
Strong commercial acumen – experienced in negotiating and driving project outcomes through preferred suppliers/partners.
Understanding of IT systems, how they relate and interact.
Mentoring & coaching project team members – experience uplifting capability and quality of delivery/championing project management disciplines
Ability to lead dispersed and diverse technology teams to deliver continuous value for customers.
Disciplined approach to planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring activities against plan and financial reconciliation
Proven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across stakeholder teams.
Able to create effective team environments for people to innovate and learn
