JOB SUMMARY / JOB PURPOSE The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects to achieve a specific set of internal customer business goals. The role ensures that the projects are delivered within a defined scope, cost, quality, resource, and schedule. The Project Manager manages the IT projects from initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling up to closing based on the IT Project Management framework, governance standards, policies, and procedures.
A Project Manager plans, budgets, oversees and documents all aspects of the project. Project Managers work closely with business units, stakeholders, and external clients to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Accountabilities Administratively reporting to Head, IT Project Delivery and Integration.Ensures that project scope and objectives are met prior to implementation or product launch.Areas of Duties and Responsibilities Defines and validates the project scope and objectives with the project stakeholders.Secures resources needed to reach objectives and manages resources in an effective and efficient manner.Develops and manages a detailed project schedule and work plan.Determines the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project and develops a project cost estimate.Tracks project costs in order to meet the budget.Determines the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.Develops the risk management plan.Develops the stakeholders and communication plan.Details the project activities, assigns tasks to resources, and communicates expected deliverables.Plans and delivers project kick-off meetings, assists and produces project plans as required.Manages multiple projects using agile methodology and aligns team goals with company goals.Develops and manages processes both technical and business to ensure plans are in place to meet business requirements in a cost-efficient manner and within specific targets.Manages communication among the stakeholders of the project including vendors and third-party partners.Directs the analysis and provides expert design advice so that the system solution satisfies management and business requirements.Assists in the coordination and management of projects from scoping of requirements to implementation.Monitors the progress of the project and makes any adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.Evaluates project changes and their impact on the scope, budget, and overall target date.Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.Monitors project issues, risks, decisions, and change log and, together with the team, develops action plans to resolve issues and risks.Creates and maintains proper project documentation such as Project Charter, Project Status Reports, RAID logs, and Project Closure Reports.Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.Evaluates and measures project performance to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.
