Overview As an IT Development Director you will be part of the CTPO leadership team, working alongside other Directors to delight out customers though the evolution of our Source-to-Pay and Procurement application suite. You will be accountable for all Software Engineering capability required to maintain and evolve the product suite. You will also be accountable for the effective organisation and performance of the Software Engineering capability. You will oversee considerable expansion of our capability in Manila, ensuring a successful transition to the on-shore / off-shore delivery model and delivering on the benefits of local skills and time-zones to support our international customers. You will be expected to collaborate strongly with Product, Architecture and Infrastructure Directors and have significant input to the Product and Technology strategy and roadmap, in line with Business strategy. You will be responsible for establishing key metrics for the performance of the Software Engineering capability, agreed with CTPO and in line with high performing organisations, and use them to drive continuous improvement. You will be based in our development centre in metro Manilla and have global responsibility for all development.
Responsibilities Develop and sustain a high-performing software engineering team aligned with product and technology strategies.Inspire and guide teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.Contribute to Product and Technology roadmaps to drive the modernization of Java and .NET applications.Oversee that applications meet SLAs and KPIs for availability, scalability, and performance.Improve engineering processes, tools, and standards to accelerate delivery and enhance quality.Drive hiring, skill development, and ensure roles and responsibilities are clear within the team.Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely, within-scope, and on-budget delivery.Work with Product, QA, and Operations teams to ensure seamless software delivery.Establish and report on key metrics to drive continuous improvement in quality and performance.Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role.Experienced in building and leading high-performing, on/offshore hybrid teams.Skilled in using OKRs, SMART objectives, and global HR systems for managing performance and conducting 1-2-1s.Proven ability to manage and modernize complex environments, particularly with Java and .NET in SaaS settings.Strong track record in delivering large-scale, high-performance software using modern development practices.Adept at making complex decisions with consideration for stakeholders like ELT, PMO, and customers.Familiar with DevOps principles, tools like Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and Azure DevOps.Able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.Committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.Experienced in Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.Experience with ERP and financial-focused software is a plus.Preferred experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM).Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.Experienced in using streaming and event-driven techniques.Confident in making decisions and taking responsibility for outcomes.Demonstrated accountability for decisions, with learnings from past experiences.Focused on both team development and continuous personal growth.Committed to being an outstanding team member and fostering a safe, empowering culture in a complex environment.Work Details: Work set-up: Work From Home; (2x a month of Onsite)Location: Alabang, MuntinlupaSchedule: Mid Shift (UK Time Shift)Equipment will be provided by the client
