Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced iOS Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in building and deploying iOS applications, with a deep understanding of Swift and Firestore integration. As a key contributor, you will work closely with our designers and DevOps team to implement high-quality, user-friendly applications. You should be proactive, communicate effectively, and demonstrate a willingness to challenge and improve ideas to deliver better solutions. There is potential for career growth into a lead developer role, including onboarding and managing a team.
Key Responsibilities:
iOS App Development: Build, develop, and deploy iOS apps, implementing features and collaborating with designers to ensure proper UI/UX design.
Firestore & API Integration: Use Firestore and APIs to manage data storage and retrieval.
Collaboration & Communication: Work with designers on UI implementation and communicate proactively about proposed changes or features.
Code Management & Best Practices: Manage code using Git and follow best practices for iOS app development.
App Store Deployment: Navigate the App Store ecosystem for deployment and app approval processes.
CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration: Work with DevOps to set up automated CI/CD pipelines for app deployment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in building and deploying iOS apps
At least 4-5 years of Swift and Objective C experience
Able to scope and implement features
Strong understanding of Firestore implementation and interacting with API interfaces.
Knowledge of Apple's design principles and application interface guidelines.
If they require a iOS designer, to be able to work pro-actively with the designer to implement the design properly
Git knowledge and best practice
Implements best practices around creating iOS apps.
Strong understanding of the App Store ecosystem especially around deployments and approvals
CI/CD experience is preferable but not necessary. They just need to be able to work with DevOps to create an automated pipeline.
Strong communicator and pro-active about changes / features they would like to see in the app
Good work ethic and someone who is willing to challenge our ideas to improve them
Needs to be someone who would be a good candidate to be the lead developer and look at onboarding and managing others in the future
