Purpose:
The **Inventory Officer** is entrusted to confirm that inventory balances of all warehouse locations are accurate and meet the committed target for inventory accuracy.
Ensure all inventory is properly accounted for and recorded according to company policy while maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
The role carries responsibility for working with inward, purchasing, marketing, customer relations, and outbound officers to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Utilize warehouse management system and company's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning software) to determine the correct SKU, product name, color, and quantity of inventory to be picked from bins, shelves, or locations
- Contributes to the development of processes and procedures to improve the overall accuracy of inventory records
- Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing physical counts, RF scanning, and system research in WMS and ERP to determine needs for inventory adjustments
- Process all changes to physical inventory using WMS
- Maintain physical inventory, WIP, semi-finish, and finish goods.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
- In charge of weekly cycle counts and annual physical counts of product inventories and reconciliations.
- Report to involved departments when distressed products are discovered.
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
- Prepare the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, defective and non-moving.
- Update and coordinate distress items to involved departments.
- Guarantee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement
- Ensure the correct and timely assessment of the inventory and be involved in directing and managing procedures related to receiving, packing, and unpacking
- Keeping a close eye on the movement of stock from in and out of the warehouse
- Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and sub-locations.
- Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
- Creates and maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follows GWP (Good Warehouse Practices)
