Inventory Accountant Responsibilities:
? Prepare monthly journal entries for COGS, inventory movement, inventory adjustment and any other
related inventory chart of accounts.
? Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger.
? Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets.
? Ensure inventory ending balance matches between the warehouse management system and the
accounting system monthly.
? Manage inventory flow reports on a weekly basis to investigate and correct discrepancies in reported
quantities and locations of all inventories on hand.
? Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances.
? Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity.
? Create Purchase Order (PO) for the vendors according to requisition form submitted by the Inventory
Manager.
? Manage inventory AP accounts in both QBO online and Bill.com to ensure on time payment and
accurate booking between vendor invoices and POs.
? Work with the logistic team to reconcile open PO on a weekly basis between vendors and warehouse.
? Establish trusted relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals.
? Analyze costs of raw materials, freight, and R&D to create cost-benefit analyses.
? Ad-Hoc projects as required. Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
? Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the e-commerce industry
? Knowledge of GAAP
? Working knowledge of Bill.com & QBO (or similar accounting software)
? Working knowledge of Financial Statement, and Cost of Goods Sold Reconciliation
? Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset
? Excellent organization as well as written and oral skills
