Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration). At least three (3) years of experience in innovation management and project commercialization, or similar experience in academe. Knowledge in 3D printing technology and / or VR content development is a plus. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to collaborate and guide a diverse team that are not direct reports. Demonstrated success in leading a culture of innovation within an organization. Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate organizational goals into actionable innovation initiatives. Experience in setting and achieving long-term innovation objectives. Communication and Networking: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with external organizations. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and industry trends. Willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches to drive innovation. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in the industry. Familiarity with innovation management tools and platforms. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a 3-year strategic plan for the innovation laboratory, outlining key milestones and performance indicators. Establish a clear vision for the laboratory's role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and disruptive thinking. Lead regular strategy review meetings to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Project Management: Oversee a portfolio of innovation projects, ensuring each project has well-defined objectives, timelines, and success metrics. Implement agile project management methodologies to adapt to changing requirements and optimize project delivery. Conduct regular project status reviews and provide guidance to project teams. Technology Assessment: Evaluate emerging technologies assessing their potential impact on product development and business processes. Develop a technology roadmap to guide the integration of new technologies. Collaboration and Networking: Establish partnerships with student capstone groups and industry organizations to access expertise and resources. Organize innovation workshops, hackathons, and networking events to stimulate creativity and collaboration. Nurture relationship with donor partners to deliver on the Institute's obligations. Budget Oversight: Develop an annual budget for the innovation laboratory, allocating resources based on project priorities and strategic objectives. Regularly review financial performance against budgetary targets and adjust resource allocation as needed. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
