Imports Department
Not directly order related:
1) Upon request by Sales Dept, assesses import duty rates based on last order execution or, if first time import, based on latest edition AHTN.
2) Maintains/updates the "List of Importations" which shows the import classification and duty rate of each item of interest to us (past imports and/or past items for consideration).
3) Stand-in for Imports Coordinator
Directly Order related:
1) Initiates order file (if not yet done by Dept.
Sales-SC.)
and update Summary of Imports Master List.
2) Upon request by Sales Dept, assesses import duty rates based on last order execution or, if first time import, based on latest edition AHTN and special agreements such as ACFTA, India-ASEAN forms AI, E, etc.
in conjunction with the concerned Sales Supervisor.
3) Passes order file to Accounting Department for pre-costing.
4) Obtains Import requirements (BFAD/PDEA/BAI clearance, permits, etc.)
in coordination with regulatory officer where applicable.
5) Chooses broker based on comparison of lowest cost and past history.
6) Follows-up shipment details with suppliers and advise broker in a timely fashion.
7) Checks, together with originator and regulatory, shipping documents, both advance and subsequently originals against actual order and jointly report any discrepancies whatsoever to the PUR and supplier.
8) Forwards Shipping Documents to assigned broker.
9) Checks broker's computation & send to Finance Dept.
10) Monitors shipment release with brokers in order to maintain the objectives.
11) Coordinates with Department concerned including WHL, REG, and PUR on all incoming shipments.
12) Obtains and checks timely brokers' billing in accordance with the agreement and existing policy.
13) Handles all Forward and JIT Shipments.
14) Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
B.
Raw Materials Department
Distributes/coordinates all Purchase Orders, its copies & attachments for Finance, Accounting and turns over tickler/PO file to Imports.
