Import And Export Documentation Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

The Import and Export Documentation Staff will provide support to the Operations and Sales Team and assist with the preparation of import and export documents in compliance with customs and government regulations:

• Provides efficient coordination and optimal level of customer service and resolve all shipment issues.
• Assists to obtain all required import permits and export licenses for all processes.
• Assists and monitors import/export of shipments with clients, brokers and shipping lines.
• Checks and verifies all shipping instructions, import and export manifest, rates and other relates matters
• Ensures correct and complete documents are submitted to concerned parties
• Arranges booking of export and import shipments
• Updates client on the status of their shipments
• Sends pre-alert to Agents
• Sends Final Shipping Instruction (FSI) to Carrier
• Arranges booking to Carrier through their system
• Arranges pre- advice to Carrier
• Lodges manifest for Import
• Lodges ED for Export
• Follow-up Authority to Withdraw (ATW) to designated Carriers
• Checks accuracy of shipping documents and coordinate corrections with concerned groups
• Monitors container arrival schedules.
• Monitors deliveries based on planned schedules.
• Ensures all shipments are cleared from customs.
• Maintains and updates import/export monitoring file
