This role involves implementing and maintaining stringent hygiene standards and protocols across all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, food and beverage outlets, and back-of-house areas. The Hygienist works closely with department heads and staff to enforce compliance with sanitation regulations and best practices, mitigate health risks, and promote a clean and hygienic environment for all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Implement and uphold rigorous hygiene standards and protocols throughout the hotel. Regularly inspect guest rooms, public spaces, food and beverage outlets, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations. Collaborate with department heads and staff to ensure adherence to hygiene and sanitation best practices. Identify and mitigate potential health risks within the hotel premises. Conduct training sessions for staff on hygiene standards and proper sanitation procedures. Monitor and document hygiene practices and outcomes, providing reports to management as needed. Stay updated on local and national health regulations and industry best practices, ensuring the hotel remains compliant. Coordinate with external agencies for regular health inspections and audits. Respond promptly to hygiene-related incidents or concerns, taking appropriate corrective actions. Promote a culture of cleanliness and hygiene among all hotel staff. Inspection and Assessment Conduct regular inspections to assess hygiene standards. Identify areas for improvement in cleanliness and sanitation. Document findings and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with relevant departments to address issues. Policy Development Develop and implement hygiene policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. Certification or training in hygiene, sanitation, or environmental health is advantageous. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hygiene-related role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Experience in implementing hygiene policies and procedures.
