COMPANY PROFILE:
La Nueva started in 1933 as a cold store named Tong Guan, selling imported wines and canned goods in Magallanes St., Cebu City. It was founded by Uy Chun Tong, who immigrated from Amoy, China.

During World War II, the store had to close down after getting hit by aerial bombs. But right after the War, it opened its door again for business on the same location under the new name ?La Nueva,? which is a Spanish word that means ?The New.?

During the ?70?s, La Nueva started to evolve by selling grocery items for wholesale and retail. The business grew and was later known as La Nueva Grocery.

During the ?80?s it was named La Nueva Supermart, as it started selling a full line of grocery products.

Currently, La Nueva Supermart is one of the leading local grocery store chains in Cebu operating in four (4) branches spread all over Metro Cebu, offering a wide variety of grocery items, and school and office supplies.

Job Summary:
Assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR staff carries out the responsibilities in all of the following functional areas:
Employee Relations, Recruitment, Benefits Administration, and other administrative functions of the HR Department.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Human Resource Development and Management

With or without experience

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Computer Literate

Able to multi-task and can work with less supervision

Highly Organized

Excellent in written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
