The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Scope This position delivers Human Resource services with specific responsibility for providing information to employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support; maintaining records, files and databases of personnel actions, evaluations and assisting in ensuring conformance to all applicable Human Resources regulatory and program requirements. This position performs a wide range of duties within a framework set by the Human Resources department. This position assists in hiring procedures, implementation of talent development activities, compensation administrative duties and other assigned tasks and is typically responsible for the administration of two or more Human Resource disciplines.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities Maintain thorough knowledge of personnel policies and proceduresMay function as a group participant on special Human Resource projectsPerform routine and more complex human resources projectsMay interface with groups inside and outside the organizationInput personnel/position changes and other information (e.g., salaries, locations, authorized access, etc.) into computerized databasesUpdate and maintain various logs/reportsProvide information to employees/respond to questions regarding personnel action requests and records all personnel actions, and related documentsParticipate in information gathering, verification, and response to routine compensation surveys and related inquiries in the areas of classification and compensationResearch and answer questions from e-mail, in-person, and telephone contacts from the general public and employees involving a variety of areas, including: recruitment and procedures relevant to employment, classification and compensation matters, policies, practices, salary structure, general referrals to departments or business areasAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlinesPlan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staffMaintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standardsAdhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability PoliciesEffectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the jobMay need to travel to attend to business related mattersMeet expectations on attendance and punctualityOther duties as assignedBasic Job Requirements Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsMinimum of 5 years solid management experience, with experience as a TL (Team Lead)Experience in Analytics (trend), KPI's, Adherence, TAT, Quality, PerformanceMicrosoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint savvyGreat Leadership skills, Communication skills & Presentation skillsKnows how to discipline & develop people (career wise), team-playerAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerPreferred Qualifications Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, Industrial Relations, Finance, or related field, with significant experience in Human ResourcesProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, or applicable HR accreditationDemonstrated problem-solving skills of a complex natureDemonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee informationExperience providing consultation to managers and HR staffExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentationsBroad knowledge of internal database applications for designated disciplineNotice to Candidates: Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependant) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.
