"An employee relations (ER) job in human resources (HR) focuses on building positive relationships between employees and employers.
ER professionals may have responsibilities such as:
Maintaining policies: Ensuring that company policies and labor laws are followed
Creating policies: Advising on or creating policies related to employee issues, such as fair compensation, work-life balance, and reasonable hours
Acting as a liaison: Serving as an intermediary between employees and managers
Handling conflicts: Addressing and resolving employee grievances and conflicts
Providing guidance: Offering support and guidance to both employees and management
Conducting investigations: Performing thorough and impartial investigations while maintaining confidentiality."
